Things won’t always go as planned
You will fail
You will fall apart
You will lose love
You will not feel love at all
You will struggle to hold on
You will struggle to let go
People will disappoint you
You will disappoint yourself
People will die
Feelings will die
And just when you think
Life cannot get any worse
I want you to pause
Take a deep breathe
And remember, no one has it easy
Everyone is fighting
Despite everything, we smile
We are here, right now
That is the only thing that counts
Don’t die while breathing
Dying can wait another day
Just live right now
Breathe, right now.

A thousand eyes always look
Even when I’m alone.
A million cuts on my skin
From knives I dream of.
No one understands when I tell them,
Why are you like this, they ask.
What if they knew
I ask this to myself
Each time I take a breath.
It’s all in my mind, I know
This one mind I’ve got to live with
All my life.
And sometimes, this life seems
A little too much
For me alone.

Like a shadow in the dark night
Fly like a black raven
In the cover of the moonless sky
Merge with everything
Seen by nothing.
Yet, I’m seen
By the two dark eyes
That always seem to follow.
