I never thought I would create a blog, but here I am.
So let’s get started.
My name is Devika.
I am no one special. There are many out there like me. But I hope for some moments that make me feel alive! 😀
That being said, let me tell you something about my blog.
It mainly contains posts on poems and prose that I write.
Other posts are about random things that cross my mind. It could be a beautiful photograph that I clicked (by chance :P), or about some happening in my life which I think is worth sharing.
My life is simple, and so am I. I try to enjoy each moment as it comes and not crib about the wonderful times that have gone by. I tend to lose myself in a book every now and then.
I try to find inspiration in everything around me, and focus on things that really matter.
I feel my blog is a reflection of my thoughts, hence a reflection of me.

Hey Des! Yes, everyone is special in their own way. But the reality is, there are billions of people residing in this world! I believe there are many people like me out there in the world. That does not mean you know many people like me. 😀

Hi Devika! How lovely to start a blog and share your creativity! It is great to try to enjoy life as much as possible, but also think about deep (and painful) thoughts. There is a time for everything.
But a question: you state that you aren’t special. When is somebody special? When he/she is very pretty? Or very talented? That makes few people special. Or is it when somebody is a nice person? Or plainly when somebody is being themselves? That makes a lot of people special (if everybody is special, does that mean that nobody is special?)
Is it that everybody has another definition of considering somebody special? If that is true, than you are special to some people.
I am quite curious to what makes you think you’re not special!

Good point raised. For everyone the definition of special is different. And when I say I am not special, I mean to say that I do not possess any particular trait that makes me stand out in the crowd. Could be beauty, talent, or something peculiar about your character, like kindness or something. I am very much ordinary. You may find many like me. That is what makes me think I am not special. But yes, I am special to some people in my life.

Everybody indeed has a different opinion on “being special”, but most import is what you think of you. And maybe “being special” isn’t that important, since only a few are.
