I cannot think straight
There are termites on my head
Eating away whatever there was.
I need more brain than one.
Maybe one in each hand.
And multiple hands.
A walking octopus with two shoes on.

I can hide this anomaly behind stylish sunglasses.
The way this world is- people will notice the brand of my glasses than my extra 6 arms that are carefully folded behind my back.

Sometimes I feel like my hair is on fire.
And I’m walking around with water in small portable bottle in my bag.
In case I feel thirsty.

We ignore the large concers looming over us.
Going in circles and circles over-
Projects, slides, and numbers.

Self Written Obituary

I am sharing something that I wrote some 5 years ago.

–

Devika Todi died while crossing the road to reach her office. An angry bull rammed into her.

Her body lay all jumbled up. Her laptop was crushed. Her bag, however, remain intact, along with a picture from her last vacation where she can be spotted on a cliff with blue waves crashing against it.

The world never made so much sense to Ms Todi as it did the moment she accepted that road as her bed and her blood as her blanket. Memories came rushing to her, while people with strange faces gathered to look at her finished life.

She was of no use to anyone ever again in this capitalist world.

21 years of existence–now vanished. Where is Devika? Who is Devika? Was there ever a Devika?

Sometimes I think I have lost the ability to create.

There is a lot inside of me that needs a release

Sticky feelings that shouldn’t exist at all

Thoughts I have thought, a little too much

Imageries and sensations that have no place in me

Concerns and worries about which I can do nothing about

And then there’s the multitude of questions

That plague my ever curious mind.

I feel like a full moon that is waning-

A sliver of sanity remains within me.

Sometimes I think I have lost the ability to create.

My words in conversations feel repeated and defeated

Activities seem like a burden- there is no originality.

Is there even a thing called originality?

Or is everything a repeat- a cycle

One in which we were born too late.

Maybe then, there is no creation

Only renditions

And my life can be a permutation combination of the many lives past.

White Sky

•

Of second skin that grows

Blue sky, white lies

Innocent dishonest eyes

My existence is not my own.

Punctuations in reality-

A line of dialogue hitched

Breath, breath, a little here and there

We forgot our own words.

Scriptures of God and

Story of life- any life

You may or may not like

Yet- we have to live through our own

Blink, Blink, pause

A character forgot her lines again.

I have spread the white lies over the horizon

There is no colour but the stillness

Before a minds walks into another day

And begins its fight.
