Ties of love

Ties of love spread all across
My fingers have lost count of all the knots around them.
With them, I write letter after letter

Dear friend, lover, sister,
I miss you. How are you? I wonder when we will meet again.

Is it cold over there? Here, the clouds have settled in. It will rain, and with it, will come the short but sweet winter. I have started eating the fruits of this season. You would love the taste of oranges here.

I wonder where these words land.
People are so busy.

I am not hollow. My mind is a chamber of all the loved ones growing as trees.
I keep roaming in this garden and looking for blooms.

Small roses. Tulips. Sunflowers. Leaves of green, yellow, purple.
A rainbow coloured puddle.

In a small obscure corner, is a strange plant.
Cutting through the longitudes and latitudes of my mind, is self love.
Often neglected, often crooked. It grows- the colour of sun.

Sometimes, I write letters to myself.

Dear Diary,
My fingers are so numb in this cold.

Boundaries

•
I wonder how people draw boundaries
I am unable to draw lines at this point.
Strings of breath that are linked to my being
Peirce me, one by one
The needle was too fierce on me.
Etched on my skin, dark birds sing
Songs of a dreadful past and a home.
I have become the destruction of my childhood.
Trees burn in dry lands
The night is the sun
I am blind from fatigue and guilt.
My legs mark territories as I map the ground with my steps
National boundaries mean nothing to me anymore.
Floating in air, clouds from Korea reach my window
I kiss it a good night,
Before day bleeds in, and I soak in its death.

Little smile

•

I tread carefully

On this alien land

People are people

It took some time

For me to realise

Who am I?

I ask this

A thousand times

Who is who?

Who is true?

Faces with misleading eyes

It is a strange world

With stranger minds

I walk through it

With a little smile

For my own.

Rupture

•
I’m rupturing;
The limit of my physical being
Exhausts me, annoys me.
•
I’ve caught a piece of this universe
In the glass jar of my room
I stare into its nothingness
Night after night after night.
•
In the deepest hour
When the world is asleep
I collect silences and release them.
•
The limit of my being extends
To the walls and ceiling;
Bricks and bones with painted skin.
And in it, I breathe
Explore the beautiful horrific dreams
My mind unfolds.
