Hours in a Circle

Some days are born
With chaos burning in its chest
Disfigured but alright
I’m sure you did not notice it was 4AM before 2AM this morning
An extra minute in every hour of the night.
Two more hours, a little spin to the world
Thousand more stars crashing in the sky
Right uptil the tail of your hair
Almost there.
Did you see the rainbow hanging lopsided from the tree with eleven crows and hundred red leaves.
I know I did.
It is better for us to not see thoughts
And still believe in the novelty of ideas.
Believe believe believe
In the horrible human spirit that continues to terrorise
And breathe.
Are you and I also human?
Of the same race and mind and bones and-
Thoughts, ideas, actions, eyes, nails?
I have painted mine pink
And worn a ring.
The only weight that feels true in all the
Less and more hours of this day-
Hours caught in a circle
A ring in the clock- tick tock.
