How do you dance when you know
Not the music, not the steps, nor your partner?
A rhythm that falters and builds
A beat after beat
In tandem. Dubdub.
Sometimes when I can’t see you, I picture flowers and scents
Because it is a long distance dance that goes on
The music wanes. Then builds
In some moments, I am sure I imagine you more than you are
Are you real? You are
But time is a powerful force that pierces many bubbles and petals.
We are dancing still. I am in your hands.
The moon is out, tonight.
It will eclipse and fall in the sun.
I will hold you, even if you are not there.
Because you are there in me. And I am here.
Like always. Not yet ready for a goodbye, but for more.
Come soon.
The dance steps are too complicated for me alone.
Until next time.
